Royal County Down Golf Club

Royal County Down is located in one of the world’s most naturally beautiful links settings in the Murlough Nature Reserve. Against the magnificent backdrop of the Mountains of Mourne, the links stretches along the shores of Dundrum Bay, zigzagging back and forth to provide a different vista from virtually every hole.

The narrowest ribbons of fairways thread their way through as impressive a set of sand dunes as could be imagined. The fairways are surrounded by purple heather and golden gorse, so beautiful to look at but so punishing for any who may stray from the prescribed path.

Royal Hague Golf & Country Club

The current course was designed in 1938, by the famous golf course architects Harry colt and C.H. Alison. Although Alison was responsible for most of the design, as evidenced by the slightly larger bunkers and more extreme nature, the course is still counted as one of the finest Colt designed courses in Europe.

The course was laid by Copijn of Groenekan.

The first course was designed in 1971, the year the Club was founded, by architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, renowned all around the world for the ability with which he harmonically sets golf courses in their natural surroundings.

The course has a magnificent setting sloping down to the seashore. The absence of sand hills usually found on links courses enables the golfer to see the sea from every hole and to enjoy memorable views south to Somerset and Exmoor, and northwest across Swansea Bay to the Gower Peninsula.

With holes facing into every point of the compass, the player is always tested by the wind and will probably need every club in the bag.

The status of the course is sustained by the many amateur and professional events held at the Club over the years.

Rungsted Golf Klub

History
Rungsted Golf Club was founded in the mid-1930s by a small group of golfers. They dreamed about building a parkland course in beautiful surroundings - and in Rungsted it became a reality when they built an 18 hole golf course after drawings by the English architect C.A. MacKenzie (brother of probably more well-known track designer Alister MacKenzie, who was behind Augusta National).

Tawast Golf & Country Club

Tawast Golf course is an 18-hole course in Hämeenlinna, a city in southern Finland only about 100 km from Helsinki, the capital of Finland. This charming course was designed by Architect Reijo Hillberg to be in perfect harmony with the surrounding woodland, the lake and the beautiful buildings of the area.

The clubhouse used to function as a horse stable for the Katinen Manor. The clubhouse is located in the centre of the course and offers a relaxing atmosphere for a break after 9 holes and of course after 18 holes.

The Scandinavian, located about 25 min north of Denmark’s capital of Copenhagen, is one of the few golf clubs with both courses consistently ranked in the Top 50 of Top Courses in Continental Europe. Designed by the North American golf architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, TROIA GOLF was elected in in 2017, the magazine Golf World rated TROIA GOLF the 17th top golf course
of the whole of Continental Europe.

Robert Trent Jones Senior selected hole 3 of Tróia’s golf course as one of the best he has ever designed, and included it in his list of ideal 18-hole courses.
