Switzerland have won the European Amateur Team Championship, Division 2 at Toya Golf & Country Club. After topping the stroke play qualifying, the Swiss team won six of seven matches against Estonia in the semi-finals to earn a spot in the championship match against Italy.
After an extensive suspension of play due to lightning, the final couldn't be completed, meaning the stroke play qualifying result would decide the championship in favour of the Swiss.
The crucial match for the bronze medals and the final promotion spot to Division 1 also ran out of daylight, meaning Portugal, who finished in third place in the stroke play qualifying, one shot ahead of Estonia, would prevail over their opponents to book a spot at Hilversumsche Golf Club in the European Amateur Team Championship next year.

The final matches In the Boys' Division 2 event, played in conjunction with the men's competition in Poland, also couldn't be completed. Wales, who finished top of the stroke play qualifying, therefore triumphed over Russia to take home the gold medals.
In the match for the final promotion spot, Scotland out-performed Belgium in the stroke play qualifying by 20 shots, meaning they earned the last promotion spot for next year's Jean Louis-Dupont Trophy at Upsala Golf Club next year.
