The 2024 edition of the European Ladies' Club Trophy is underway in Slovakia.
16 national-champion clubs have gathered at Welten Golf Club near Bratislava, to compete for this year's European Women's club title.
The three-round stroke play event features teams of three players, with the two lowest each day counting towards the clubs' final totals.
Racing Club de France La Boulie (FRA), the 2022 and 2023 champions, lead the way after the opening round on 1-under-par. Golf Club Brno (CZE) sit two shots back in second place, while German club, Hamburger, finished the first day on +2.
Emma Defleur from Golf Club Rigenée carded the lowest round on Thursday. Six birdies on the card, including one on the 18th, led to a 70 (-2) for the Belgian, helping her team to 4th place on the leaderboard.
Just two players carded red numbers in Round 1, with the other being the reigning champion's Mathilde Claisse who shot a 71 (-1).
