History

The European Nations' Cup for Golfers with Disability was established to provide an elite competition platform for golfers with disabilities. The event formed in 2010, came under the banner of the EGA in 2017 and is overseen by the European Disabled Golf Association (EDGA) and other regional golfing bodies, aligning with the wider movement toward inclusivity in sports. It is part of a broader effort by international organizations which include The R&A, DP World Tour and golf federations to ensure the sport is accessible to all.

The tournament is held every two years and features teams from various European nations. Teams are composed of players with different forms of disability, including physical, visual, or intellectual impairments. The event plays a key role in raising awareness of adaptive golf, and it highlights how the game can be enjoyed and mastered by individuals with various challenges. The competition format in 2024 was adjusted to that of a four-player mixed team with players from four sport bands and collective results contributing to the final standings.

The championship not only fosters a competitive spirit but also encourages collaboration and camaraderie between players, embodying the values of sportsmanship and inclusivity.
