The 2025 European Young Masters concluded on Saturday at RCF La Boulie, France, with elite 121 junior golfers from 34 nations showcasing their talent across three days of intense competition, despite a weather-affected start to the week.

Heavy rain on Thursday forced a suspension of play, but conditions improved just in time to allow all rounds to be completed as scheduled. In the boys’ championship, Czech Republic’s Štěpán Plášek delivered a commanding performance to win gold with a total score of -12. Just two weeks after helping the Czech team secure their first-ever title at a European Team Championship, Plášek added individual honours to his growing résumé, finishing four strokes ahead of a trio tied for second: Germany’s Colin Barmann and Bjarne Murr, and Switzerland’s Kai Notteboom, all on -8. The former two claimed the silver and bronze medals respectively, with lower final rounds.

England’s Ellie Lichtenhein claimed the girls’ title, becoming the second consecutive English player to win the event. Lichtenhein posted a three-under-par total of 213, edging out a strong chasing pack by two shots. Tied for second at -1 were France’s Axelle Guillemard, 2024 champion Annabel Peaford (ENG), and Salomé Lumbaca (FRA), of which again the former two would stand on the podium thanks to their closing rounds. The event also featured notable performances from Adriana Garcia Terol (ESP) and Jessica Dyreskov (DEN), both finishing at +1 in a tie for fifth.

In the team event, Germany emerged victorious to lift the Nations’ Cup with a cumulative score of -13, calculated by combining the best three scores from each team per day. France secured the silver medal at -8, while Czech Republic continued their excellent summer with a bronze medal finish at -6. Spain and England shared fourth place at -5, narrowly missing out on podium positions.
