The under-16 equivalent of the Vagliano Trophy is played biennially in conjunction with the women's match since 2011. The Continental Team has won all three previous editions.

History:

The Vagliano Trophy started as a match between Great Britain and France in 1931 and was played annually until 1939 and between 1947 and 1949. It became a biennial event thereafter.

Since 1959, the match is played between Great Britain and Ireland and a team representing the Continent of Europe.

The Vagliano Trophy, given by French golfer Andre Vagliano, was introduced and used for the new event.

In 2011, the Junior Vagliano Trophy has been added.
