Four players have earned EGA gold medals in Sweden for winning their respective categories at the 2025 European Individual Championship for Golfers with Disability.

The event, staged by the EGA in collaboration with EDGA and the Swedish Golf Federation, saw 79 players from 19 countries compete in the most competitive, and inclusive, edition of the tournament to date.

All competitors featured in one of four sport bands made up from nine sport classes, developed by EDGA, covering all impairments across Standing, Seated, Visual and Intellectual categories.

This year's championship, played at Bokskogens Golf Club, was the first edition to crown four different champions, one from each of the sport bands.

It was an all-Nordic podium in the standing category, with Frederik Brokfelt-Christiansen (DEN) on the top step. The Dane secured a 'wire-to-wire' win, carding the lowest round of the tournament on Thursday with a 1-under-par 70 to take the lead, and then following up with rounds of 71 (E) and 74 (+2) for a two-stroke victory.

Sweden's Gustav Andersson, who held the lead heading down the 54th hole on Saturday but suffered an agonising double-bogey finish, was Brokfelt-Christiansen's closest competitor. The Swedish player took home the Standing category silver medal with a total score of +4. Three shots further back was Fredrik Fjaeraa from Norway, who claimed bronze.

Ireland's Julia Falvey Ryan finished the tournament in a tie for 5th in the Standing category, earning the title of highest-placed woman.

In the Seated division, Richard Kluwen successfully defended his crown, securing a fourth straight European title. The Dutchman claimed a convincing 11-shot win over Graham Freeman (BEL), who took home silver, and Melody Roccaz (FRA) who finished third.

In one of two categories crowning a European champion for the first time, Casper Holst-Christensen earned the Intellectual title to make it two gold medals for Denmark. A 1-under-par 70 in the final round closed out an 8-shot win in style over Steven Aldersen (AUS) in second and Arwen Duerinckx (BEL) in third.

In the Visual category, which also awarded a trophy for the first time, Scotland's Barry McCluskey won the gold medal. Marc Oller Astort (ESP) earned silver, while Mette Havnaas (NOR) took home the bronze medal.
