Hosting Course
Pärnu Bay Golf Links
Pärnu Bay Golf Links is a links course in the true sense of the word: a coastal stretch of land with sandy soil and fescue grasses - a true test of a golfer's ability.
The course was designed by architect Lassi Pekka Tilander with Mick McShane as the lead shaper, best known as the lead shaper for St. Andrews Links’ Castle Course and Kingsbarns Golf Links.
History
The European Senior Men’s Championship is an annual golf tournament for male amateur players aged 50 and over, first held in 1996. Organised by the EGA, it takes place alongside the European Senior Ladies’ Championship at various European venues each June. The event consists of three rounds of stroke play, with medals awarded to the top three finishers and a special prize for the best player over 60. A nations' cup was part of the event until 2005. The current champion is Rodrigo Lacerda Soares from France after a dramatic finish at Kikuoka Country Club in Luxembourg.
