Hosting Course

Golf Resort Skalica

The championship course is a typical links course and complies with all the requirements of a modern resort of the European and world standard. The course was designed by the top Austrian architect Hans-Georg Erhardt who has built more than 25 courses in Europe and Africa. As part of the premises you will find five lakes with nine holes designed in their proximity. There are a number of typical bunkers, wavy fairways and high heavy rough. You have to judge the wind very carefully and play the course accordingly throughout the year.

History

The European Senior Ladies’ Team Championship is an annual golf event for women aged 50+ from EGA member countries. Held over five days, it involves two days of stroke play followed by three days of match play, with teams of six players. The top eight teams from stroke play qualify for the medal-contending 'Flight A,' while others compete in Flights B and C for final positions. First held in 2006, the event takes place at various venues across Europe each September. France is the most successful team with five wins, followed by Germany with three.
