History

The European Senior Ladies’ Championship, established in 1996, is an annual golf tournament for female amateur players over 50, organised by the EGA. Played alongside the European Senior Men’s Championship in mid-June at different European venues, the event is contested over three rounds of stroke play with a 54-player field. 

Medals are awarded to the top three finishers, with an additional prize for the top player aged 60+.

A nations' cup was played at the event from 2000 through 2005, although was discontinued with the introduction of the European Senior Ladies' Team Championship in 2006.
