History
The European Men’s Team Shield Championship, established in 2015, is for small and emerging golfing nations not competing in the Division 1 or 2 European Amateur Team Championships that year. Around 12 teams of four players compete over four days, beginning with 18 holes of stroke play qualifying, followed by three days of match play with one foursomes and two singles matches. The championship is held alongside the European Ladies’ Team Shield Championship.
