Allerum Golfklubb and the Swedish Golf Federation have been confirmed as hosts to the 2026 European Ladies’ Amateur Championship.
144 of the World’s best female amateur players will head just north of Helsingborg next July for the EGA’s flagship individual women’s event.
The club, opened in 1992, features a championship layout designed to test even the best amateur players with strategic bunkering, undulating fairways, and well-protected greens.
The club has hosted a Challenge Tour and two Ladies’ European Tour events in the last three years, but will welcome its first EGA tournament next summer.
A Prestigious Championship
First contested in 1986, the European Ladies’ Amateur Championship has grown into one of the biggest events in women’s amateur golf. The 2025 edition is set to be held at Frankfurter Golf Club in Germany from July 23 to 26, before the four-round stroke play event heads to Sweden the following year.
The championship has long been a proving ground for future professionals, with many of Europe’s top stars such as Linn Grant, Maja Stark, Carlota Ciganda, Céline Boutier and many more having participated before turning pro. The winner traditionally earns an invitation to compete in the AIG Women’s Open the same year, adding to the tournament’s prestige.

A Chance for More Swedish Success
The hosts will be hoping to see more home success in the event, which has witnessed two Swedish winners in the last four editions. The current reigning champion is Louise Rydqvist (SWE), who claimed the title in Finland last summer, while Ingrid Lindblad (SWE) also has her name engraved on the trophy after her 2021 win in Italy.
