Sweden have won the European Team Championship for Golfers with Disability at Real Novo Sancti Petri Golf Club.
The Swedish team, made up of Rasmus Lia, Johan Kammerstad, Marcus Malo, and Joakim Bjorkman, put in a dominant performance to seal a wire-to-wire victory in Spain.
After taking the early lead in the day one foursomes, the Swedes extended their lead in the day two greensomes, to take a 15-shot advantage into the final day.
A 74 (+2) from Johan Kammerstad, which started with three birdies, a 77 (+5) from Joakim Bjorkman, and an 80 (+8) from Rasmus Lia were enough to claim victory by 20 strokes.
The competition for the silver and bronze medals was much closer. Defending champions, France, started the day in third position. They were able claim second place on a total of 556 strokes, led by former European Individual Champion, Charles-Henri Quelin, who carded a 73 (+1), the tied lowest score of the day.
The Netherlands, who started the day in fourth position, were also able to climb one spot and earn the bronze medals with a score of 560. Daphne Van Houten, the 2018 ladies' individual champion, led the way for the team on the final day, playing the back-nine in level-par to also return a 73.
England finished two shots behind the Netherlands in fourth on 562, while hosts, Spain, were fifth with 570 strokes.

In the European Nations' Cup, an event played with an identical format but scored in net stableford, the leaderboard was extremely tight heading into the final day. Hosts, Spain, held a narrow lead over England at the top of the leaderboard, while defending champions, Denmark, were third.
With just four holes to play, three teams were within four points of the lead, but it was ultimately the Czech Republic, who started the day in fourth position, that would claim the trophy on a total score of 218. Stanislav Jirasek shot the best score on the final day, returning 41 points to help the team to a two-stroke margin of victory.
England finished in second position, while hosts, Spain, were awarded the bronze medals.
