The EGA is delighted to confirm the medalists of the 2024 European Men’s and Women’s Amateur Golf Rankings.
The three men and three women will receive formal recognition for their achievements in the form of EGA medals.
The final 2024 European rankings, which filter European players from the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), were taken the week before the start of DP World Tour Qualifying School on 21 August.
MEN
1) Jose Luis Ballester (ESP)

3) Jacob Skov Olesen (DEN)
After finishing in third place at last year's rankings, Jose Luis Ballester (ESP) has been awarded an EGA gold medal for finishing the 2024 season as the top-ranked amateur player in Europe. The Spaniard has had a remarkable season so far, with a win on his 21st birthday at the 2024 US Amateur Championship at the beginning of August.
Scotland's Calum Scott takes home the silver medal. The Scottish climbed the WAGR rankings earlier this year after strong performances in US College events, a fifth place at The Amateur Championship, and has been awarded the "low-amateur" medal at The 152nd Open Championship, on home soil, at Royal Troon.
Jacob Skov Olesen (DEN) has been awarded the bronze medal. The Dane had an impressive summer with a win at The Amateur Championship which earned him a spot in The 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon, where he made the cut and finished 60th. After representing the Continent of Europe during the 2024 St Andrews Trophy, where the CoE came home with a win, the lefty created some core memories on home soil in Denmark at the Danish Golf Championship, a DP World Tour event, where he finished 5th.

In the European Women’s Amateur Ranking, Lottie Woad (ENG) has finished the season as the top amateur player in Europe and the world. The 2023 Vagliano Trophy player participated in many professional events this year, including the U.S. Women's Open, the Amundi Evian Championship, and the AIG Women's Open, where she finished at an impressive 10th place. The 20-year-old earned her maiden amateur title at the Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship this year, and also finished one spot short of a win at the 2024 NCAA D1 Women's Championship.
Julia Lopez Ramirez (ESP) has finished the season as the number two ranked player in Europe and the world. The 2023 European Ladies' Amateur Champion has had a very consistent year, with 5 top-10 finishes and two wins in College events. The Spaniard also participated in the AIG Women's Open, where she finshed inside the top-30.
Adela Cernousek (FRA) will take home the bronze medal in the women’s ranking. The number 8-ranked player in the world mainly played events in the US this year and represented the International team at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup. The French player won the 2024 NCAA D1 Women's Championship before participating in three professional events, namely the U.S. Women's Open, the Amundi Evian Championship and the Dana Open. Her latest achievement this season has been her 5th-place finish at the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.
