Europe's best clubs are competing in the European Ladies' Club Trophy at Pravets Golf Club, Bulgaria, from September 29 - October 1, 2016.
On Day 1, defending champions Racing Club de France - La Boulie, once again, raced straight to the top of the leaderboard with a total score of 137 (-7).
Josephine Farrando posted the lowest score of the day, a 68 (-4), and was closely followed by fellow team member Anyssia Herbaut who only needed one stroke more. Alexandra Yshar completed the solid team performance by also staying below par with her round of 71 (-1). The French ladies are now in the best position to clinch victory for the third consecutive time on the European stage.
Denmark's Smorum Golfklub and the Dutch UGC De Pan, who sit in second and third place, at -4 and -3 respectivley, will not be the only teams to try and catch the leaders over the next two days. France's 2016 national champions from Paris Country Club, who beat the Racingwomen in the national final in May, take fourth place with a total of -2.
