CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE:
The EGA, together with the French Golf Federation and Golf de Morfontaine, is delighted to confirm that the European Seniors Ladies' Championship will go ahead on the planned week in France with a minor change in dates.
The championship, originally scheduled for 10-12 June, has been pushed back by one day, and will now take place on 11-13 June with the practice days now being 9 and 10 June.
The French President has announced a timeline for the relaxation of Covid-19 related public health measures in France, which includes significant changes on 9 June.
From 9 June, people who are not resident in France are expected to be able to enter the country with a 'health pass' (for which the details are not yet finalised, but presumably involves a certificate of vaccination or negative PCR test result).
The championship has been pushed back by one day in order to give participants the time to complete a practice round should they only be able to travel to France on 9 June once restrictions are eased.
To accommodate players who plan to travel home on Sunday 13 June, the number of players making the 36-hole cut will be reduced to the lowest 36 men and 24 ladies including ties. Additionally, the final round will be played from the 1st and 10th tees with the last tee-times around 10:00am to enable the possibility of travel on Sunday evening for all participants.
Entries to the event will close on 10 May at 17:00 (CET)
