History

The European Mid-Amateur Men’s Championship is an annual 54-hole stroke play tournament for elite male players aged 25 and over. Organised by the European Golf Association (EGA), it has been held since 1991 and takes place alongside the European Mid-Amateur Ladies’ Championship at different venues across Europe each June. 

The event, originally for players aged 30+, lowered its age limit to 25+ in 2021. Winners earn invitations to the European Amateur and US Mid-Amateur Championships, while medals are awarded to the top three finishers, with an additional prize for the top player aged 40+.
