Tegelberga golf course lies waiting for you in a beautiful area of Skåne, only 20 minutes from Malmö and 10 minutes from Trelleborg and Sturup Airport.
Tegelberga is everyone’s golf course. A classic British heathland course, designed by Peter Chamberlain, which challenges expert players and inspires beginners and high handicappers to greater things.
History
The European Ladies’ Amateur Championship, established in 1986, is a prestigious annual golf tournament for amateur women players with a handicap index of 6.0 or better.
Held in late July at different venues across Europe, it is regarded as one of the strongest amateur events worldwide by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
The winner earns an invitation to play in the AIG Women’s Open that year.
Notable winners include Carlota Ciganda, who won at age 14, and European Solheim Cup stars like Caroline Hedwall, Bronte Law, and Céline Boutier.
The tournament has seen notable participants such as Linn Grant, Maja Stark, Céline Boutier, Bronte Law, Sophia Popov, Carlota Ciganda, Caroline Hedwall, and Suzann Pettersen.
