2006 Junior Ryder Cup

18 - 19 Sep 2006
Wales

The Junior Ryder Cup Teams came out even on Monday after the first match day.  Further competition on Tuesday did not allow the two teams to make a decisive move on either side, ending up in a tie. The European team was composed of Carly Booth (SCO), Carlota Ciganda (ESP), Laura Gonzales-Escallon (BEL), Saskia Hausladen (GER), Giulia Molinaro (ITA) and Marta Silva (ESP) for the girls and Victor Dubuisson (FRA), Sean Einhaus (GER), Pedro Figueiredo (POR), Are Friestad (NOR), Maximilan Kieffer (GER) and Anders Kristiansen (NOR) for the boys under the captaincy of Andy Ingram (WAL).
Although Captain, Andy Ingram and the European Team had travelled to Wales with the clear intention of  repeating  the clear victory of the last event, finally ending up all square after such a close fight has brought them great satisfaction. Unbeaten since 1999, the European team will certainly look forward to defending the title in two years' time in the USA.
